Update 10/2008: I really really like many of Riya's qualities. She is conformationally correct, had a very pretty head (well defined jibbah, large eyes, refined muzzle), and beautful drive from the hind quarters. I have no reason to sell her, but I no longer have an Heirloom stallion to breed her to so she will never replace herself within her breeding group as long as I own her. I am planning to continue to breed her to my SE/AK stallion(s) while she is here and she will (I'm sure) continue to produce beautiful foals.
Update 5/2005: Since I purchased Riya, I have found out that she is both Heirloom/El Deree and American Foundation. Research is always a good thing.
Original 2/2002: Riya was purchased in the fall of 1999. The only reason that I could afford a mare that is Babson/Serhabbas is because Riya was injured as a young filly/mare. Although it does not seem to cause any soundness issues, she has a scar across the right side of her chest and on her left front leg. She is currently living the life of a broodmare.
