Update 1/30/2003: I decided that Melissa is a 'keeper'. Unfortunately this means that
any plans to start her under saddle have been put off indefinitely. I simply don't have
time to ride/train all of the horses that are for sale as well as broodmares that were already adults when I bought them. Someday I hope to have time to start Melissa under saddle, but probably won't be this year.
Original 2/2002:Melissa is not yet started under saddle. She will be started under saddle after her foal is old enough in 2002. She will be started in a western saddle and then will probably be switched to a hunt saddle for training in hunt seat and dressage.
Melissa stands quietly to be groomed, have her hooves cleaned, and have her hooves trimmed. She is sometimes slow to respond to requests to pick her feet, but is getting better. She typically leads quietly and is well mannered.
